James Squire Launches Low Carb, Pale Ale Beer: Stride

James Squire releases its first low carb beer, Stride, with half the carbs of a regular pale ale

24 August 2023, Australia’s first brewer, James Squire, is bringing its brewing credentials to an increasingly thirsty audience looking for low carb beer alternatives. The new James Squire Stride is a flavourful low carb pale ale, with only 3.6grams of carb per bottle.

From a brand renowned and trusted by beer lovers for its quality, the flavour of James Squire Stride plans to disrupt the low carb beer market. As the category’s popularity continues to skyrocket* perceptions of flavour and quality missing from low carb beers continues to circulate with beer drinkers.

Made from 100% grain ingredients, James Squire Stride is a clean refreshing low carb Pale Ale. Created using only Australian Pale and Munich Malts with a dash of Wheat, tangerine and tropical stone fruit notes form the aroma and top notes while Mosaic and Galaxy hops deliver hints of passionfruit and citrus.

Albertus Lombard, Brand Director – Premium at Lion Australia, said entering the low carb beer space was an exciting opportunity for James Squire.

“Stride has been carefully crafted by our brewers to deliver a low carb pale ale that has all the flavour of a pale ale that you’d expect from James Squire. We know that there’s limited low-carb beer options on the market in Australia, and with James Squire’s innovation credentials, it was a no brainer for us to launch into this space. James Squire Stride gives beer drinkers the option to drink a low carb beer that packs a punch in flavour that craft beers are known for, without compromising on quality and taste.”

“James Squire Beers aren’t your run of the mill beers. They’re flavourful and balanced, a step above others, and perfect for any occasion.” continued Lombard.

The James Squire Stride beer joins the James Squire portfolio including 150 Lashes, Broken Shackles, Ginger Beer and Zero.

James Squire Stride has an ABV of 4.2% and will be available to purchase in 330ml bottles in leading liquor stores across Australia and within James Squire brewhouses, RRP starts from AUD$54.99 per case and AUD$20.99 per six pack.
