Queensland is famous for BIG things, the Big Pineapple, the Big Melon and now it can add The Big Cooler to the list. This week, XXXX will unveil a giant solar-powered, beer-dispensing cooler that will allow Queenslanders to have a first try of the newly launched XXXX Zero - Australia’s first carbon-neutral alcohol-free beer. The Big Cooler will be touring a couple of locations on the Gold Coast and Brisbane this week, delivering free samples of the refreshing alcohol-free lager.
Towering at over two metres, the Big Cooler has been custom built by XXXX and is powered by solar panels to keep XXXX Zero bottles cold with a vending machine mechanic to disperse fresh alcohol-free beers to thirsty Queenslanders at Pacific Fair on Thursday 26 May, and Teneriffe Festival on Saturday 28 May. Consumers over the age of 18 simply scan a QR code at The Big Cooler and will receive an alcohol-free beer to taste.

Alcohol-free beer has become the fastest-growing segment within the beer category, growing at 62% year on year*. Queensland is the largest alcohol-free beer market in Australia, outranking both New South Wales and Victoria.
The Queensland launch of XXXX Zero has reflected the brand’s commitment to sustainability. To celebrate the launch, a mural in Brisbane has been created using CO2-absorbing paint. The mural, which absorbs CO2 emissions, is the first of its kind in Queensland.
The public can catch a glimpse of The Big Cooler at Pacific Fair, Broadbeach Waters, Gold Coast on Thursday 26 May, 12-7 pm, and Teneriffe Festival in Brisbane on Saturday, 28 May, 11 – 6 pm.
XXXX Zero will be available in 330ml bottles to purchase in liquor stores and pubs in Queensland from May 2022. RRP $12 for a 6-pack.
