Zooper Dooper (ZD), Lion Dairy & Drinks (Lion’s) iconic icy tube treat, has again partnered with the KFC Big Bash League (BBL) ahead of the highly anticipated sixth season starting in December.

19 December 2016: - Zooper Dooper (ZD), Lion Dairy & Drinks (Lion’s) iconic icy tube treat, has again partnered with the KFC Big Bash League (BBL) ahead of the highly anticipated sixth season starting in December.

The summer of BBL|06 fun hits off on Tuesday 20 December with the reigning champions - Sydney Thunder - hosting the Sydney Sixers in the Sydney Smash at Spotless Stadium.

Zooper Dooper has been an Australian favourite since it was first produced in 1974. Today it is made by Lion in Smithfield, NSW using 99% locally sourced ingredients.

The BBL is a competition of 35 games in 40 days played across the school holidays – and all broadcast live and free on Network Ten.

Darryn Wallace, the Marketing & Innovation Director of Lion Dairy & Drinks (LDD), said that was what appealed to him about being involved in the BBL in partnership with Cricket Australia.

“It is a game played across the nation during the school holidays; it is about having fun and bringing families together. That is what Zooper Dooper is all about.”

Zooper Dooper also announced it had signed West Indian and Melbourne Renegades cricketer and singer Dwayne Bravo as an Ambassador for the KFC Big Bash ‘Zooper Champion’ Campaign.

Dwayne’s ‘Champion’ song has been re-written for Aussie Big Bash fans.

“The focus of the campaign is to get BBL fans around the county energised by the new version of ‘Champion’ song,” Darryn said.

“The song will be played in the stadium at the fall of every ‘home team’ wicket.

“We are delighted to have Dwayne on board, to assist us in delivering our Big Bash campaign this summer. He brings a lot of excitement on and off the field.

“We are excited to see fans all over the country enjoying the new version of the song, and can’t wait for the first ball of the season to be bowled.”

The partnership will again have Zooper Dooper BBL Consumer Promotion packs in Coles and now Woolworths and independent grocers, giving fans the chance to win Big Bash League family passes all summer.
