Isaac’s Cider – New Zealand’s number one cider.

Only seven months after launch, the unquestioned ruler of the cider market is Mac’s Isaac’s Cider with 24% value share*, driving the category growth in New Zealand and revolutionising cider in this country in the process.

“It’s satisfying for Mac’s Isaac’s Cider to be crowned New Zealand’s number one selling cider after such a short time on the market,” comments Stephen Smith, Lion Nathan Marketing Director.

In 2009 Mac’s Isaac’s Cider broke the mould by making a once fading and old-fashioned beverage, more fun and exciting for drinkers – it’s now selling out on tap in bars and in retailers across the country. Smith continues “It appears people were looking for a change and the product’s crisp, fresh and modern taste has ensured that they are not only trying it, but buying it on a regular basis.”

“This cider is amazing – all our customers see it as a refreshing and tasty new change and we are selling out most nights,” says Gail Rongen, Mac’s Brew Bar Director in Wellington. “Everyone’s drinking it – both males and females – they are all loving Isaac’s and it’s going to continue to grow in popularity year round.”

Isaac’s Cider has continued to grow market share since its launch last September by taking share from both new and established brands with Mac’s renowned commitment to innovation and quality.

“Isaac’s has over delivered on expectations since launch and sales are 22% ahead of targets,” says Smith.
