Waikato Draught

Waikato Draught was first brewed in the 1920s and has been the beer of the Waikato region ever since. Willie the Waiter, a past worker at the brewery now depicted as a character on the packaging, is the brand’s mascot and has grown to become an icon of the region. In 2005, Waikato Draught was awarded a gold medal and won best in class in the New Zealand Draught Beer Category at the Brew NZ Awards.

Waikato DraughtWaikato Draught has a strong malty flavour, a well-defined bitterness, a smooth and clean texture, and a hoppy and spicy aroma. The bitterness of Waikato Draught refreshes the palette and the robust ale flavours are a good match with hearty meat and potato meals.
